What are the Capacity Limits for the Spaces for Rent?

If I am Renting One of the Spaces to Teach a Class, Do Instructors Count as Part of the Capacity Limit?

Yes, capacity limits refer to the maximum number of people in the room, regardless of whether they are a student, instructor, visitor/guest, etc. At no point in time should a renter have more people than the stated capacity limit for that space.

Can I Allow 1 Person or More Over the Capacity Limit During my Rental?

Capacity limits are the maximum number of people that can be in a space, there are no exceptions to this rule.

How do I Make a Booking for Less Than 48 Hours Away? (Community and Rehearsal Space)

If you would like to make a booking less than 48 hours away you need to:

  1. Check our rental calendar to confirm the time and space you want is free
  2. Ensure you will be contacting us between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday to Friday
  3. Understand that it may not be possible to organize the booking in time
  4. Fill out this form and submit it, we will get in touch with you as soon as we can

How does Parking Work at 44 Gaukel?

44 Gaukel sits beside the Charles St West Lot 15 which is operated by the City of Kitchener. Please see the City of Kitchener lot page for up-to-date details on prices, hours of operation and more.

There is some on-street parking available near 44 Gaukel, see here. On-street parking is regulated by the City of Kitchener and can change at any time.

How will I Access My Rental at 44 Gaukel?

All recurring renters receive a swipe card to enter the building and a key if required to enter the space you are renting. If you are renting Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. you do not require a swipe card or a key, as ABO staff will let you into the space.

When will I get a Swipe Card?

Where do I Return my Swipe Card After my Rental is Over?

Please place your swipe card and key into the second-floor key dropbox.
